FIRE PREVENTION MEASURES

Our house location is in the San Elijo Lagoon which is full of chaparral which is very flammable and like gasoline for a fire we want to reduce the risk of fire damage by building with non combustible materials. Some ideas are to use:

· dual-pane windows
· boxed-in eaves and screened vents
· indoor sprinklers in homes
· noncombustible fences
· noncombustible doors
· maximum landscaping
· vegetation buffers
· fire-resistant plants and trees
